“I hope so.” Emmett shoots him a grin from where he’s
sitting on the couch. He’s pretending to
work but really he’s just hitting “refresh” on a half dozen paparazzi sites
that may have pictures of Rosalie from the shoot today. The press has been
having a field day with her being cast in this role. The actress who was supposed to play Ginnie suddenly
fell ill and Rosalie was brought in at the last minute. The papers are all abuzz with what an adult
role it is for the Disney star. I can
tell that Emmett has some misgivings about his wholesome little girlfriend
being in a movie with actual sex in it.
Not that it’s a porno or anything. I mean, Emmett and I
don’t have a lot of standards but we try not to do sex-industry stuff just
because of the “yuck-factor.”
“I know you don’t think she’s a total…” I interrupt him with
a sharp “Don’t.”
He looks at me and continues. “A promiscuous young lady but, like, if she
did come onto you or whatever, would you do it?”
Emmett’s jaw is twitching at this line of inquiry but he
likes Seth, mostly.
“I really don’t see that happening,” he answers.
“Well, What about you, Edward?” Seth turns to me. “If you had a chance to, you know, with
Bella.”
“I don’t have a heartbeat, Seth, but, yeah, in one.” I shrug him.
Like, duh!
I actually finished a thing and should be sending it off today....
